Okay, so you were born to a writer, which means you'll get LOTS of letters and poems and essays and writings. Why? Because it is my great hope that these words will serve as guideposts to who I am so that you , and your kids, and maybe even their kids will know from whom they came.
I read a post the other day decrying the personal "web log," or blog, because the author felt they were only self-serving, ego-driven smatterings of meaningless words. Perhaps they are, or perhaps they are at least to the small-minded person who wrote that post. You see, I still believe that words are windows into the minds and hearts of writers...you get to see the intent and motivations and workings of what makes people who they are. So, even though you know me as well as anyone, I hope you'll see truth in what I write here, and know how much I love you...and one day your children...and some days after that, their children.
